Happy Spring Equinox! Today the pagan Ostara is celebrated in addition to the vernal equinox. The sun is passing over the equator and day & night are of equal length!
Of course, we’re celebrating with another edition of Sabbat Habits! This two night event will take you through some history, a few fun crafts and a special collective ritual.
Tonight is night one and we’re joined by our friend Karen (@pineshadowpagan) who has another phenomenal presentation to share. Instead of reaching for an easter egg or rabbit connection with ostara, we’re chatting about prehistoric civilizations and how they recognized the equinox. We’ll then get a quick tutorial on making seed bombs for all your guerilla gardening missions. You’ll also get to see some of the materials you’ll need for night 2’s ritual!
As usual, Karen and I have put together an accompanying Sabbat Habits e-book all about this Equinox. You’ll find materials list & step by step instructions for the activities and even a springtime playlist to get you in the spirit.
Make sure to come back tomorrow night for Part 2. We’ll be building our own solar observatories and will end with a collective ritual!
